I held your hand and watched you sleep

Your hand cold and clammy pressed against my warm palm.

recalling  how it felt when you first held mine,

the strong hands that told me you will never let go.

I took your hand to my lips,

remembering how many times it touched my cheeks

my lips, my nose, my face.

quietly, you removed your hand and touched my hair

I looked at you and saw you with a weak smile

I smiled  back and tried not to show any sign of weakness

I wouldn’t miss that chance to see your face again..

your eyes, your lips,  the whole of you.

you moved your lips trying to tell me something

I lowered my ears to your lips,

“I love you”

I tried to hold back the tears from falling..

The walls that I tried to build came crumbling down,

I cried, I know it will the last few minutes before you say goodbye

I hugged you for the very last time

I don’t want you to go

but time has run out.

I stayed in your arms,

I held you close

knowing that it will be the last

I looked at you and said

“I love you very much”

You held me tight, kissed me on the forehead

and drew your last breath…

Goodbye my love.. until we meet again.

April fool’s day crime…

Defense Attorney: Will you please state your age?
Little Old Lady: I am 80 years old.
Defense Attorney: Will you tell us, in your own words, what happened
the night of April 1st?
Little Old Lady: There I was, sitting there in my swing on my front
porch on a warm spring evening, when a young man comes creeping up on the
porch and sat down beside me.
Defense Attorney: Did you know him?
Little Old Lady: No, but he sure was friendly.
Defense Attorney: What happened after he sat down?
Little Old Lady: He started to rub my thigh.
Defense Attorney: Did you stop him?
Little Old Lady: No, I didn’t stop him.
Defense Attorney: Why not?
Little Old Lady: It felt good. Nobody had done that since my Albert
died some 15 years ago.
Defense Attorney: What happened next?
Little Old Lady: He began to rub my breasts.
Defense Attorney: Did you stop him then?
Little Old Lady: No, I did not stop him.
Defense Attorney: Why not?
Little Old Lady: His rubbing made me feel all alive and excited. I
haven’t felt that good in years!
Defense Attorney: What happened next?
Little Old Lady: Well, by then, I was feeling really “spicy” that I
just laid down and told him “Take me, young man. Take me!”
Defense Attorney: Did he take you?
Little Old Lady: No! He just yelled, “April Fool!”
 
 
And that’s when I shot him!!
